Disclaimer
This schedule of readings uses the standard Jewish Parsha for the Tanakh. We also made our best
attempt to include the holiday readings.
For the Brit Chadashah there is not a single recognized standard. Therefore, this schedule combines two
of them. The first of these systematically proceeds through the Gospels and Acts in parallel to the Torah
readings. We base our decision to follow this schedule on the proclamation of Moses in Deuteronomy 8:5.
A prophet will the LORD thy God raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren,
like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
The second Brit Chadashah schedule uses scriptures that are from a variety of writings
from the various books and letters. This seems consistent with how the Jewish Tanakh readings were
chosen.
We also thought it helpful to take an annual trip through the psalms. So we include those as well.
Note that our reading schedule is only a guide. Feel free to ignore those
parts that you disagree with. Let's all study and learn together.
